Choosing which flowers to grow in my garden was a pretty easy step for me. Anything that had these key words, e asy to grow. Also because I can't contain my excitement and I'm more than a little impatient: start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date : because that meant I could get my hands dirty now and try some indoor seed sowing while the weather outside was still meh. I have a little experience with bulbs so I picked up a few kinds. I also grew a small batch of sweet peas last year that did okay behind my vegetable garden, so I am going to give them another go. The colors were surprising and amazing and even with a little neglect they had a very long flowering season. I have been checking all the nurseries and local stores, they all sell the same seeds from a farm not too far from us so I had no problem picking a bunch up from Fred Meyers when they were having a buy one, get one half off sale.
